Some people ask, "Are people choosing to be homeless?" For Daryl, that question would have been offensive when he lost his home after a divorce, was separated from his family, and had nothing but drink to bring him temporary solace. Now, though, Daryl knows about the choices he DOES have. Here is Daryl's story.
Daryl has since moved into his own home and has begun work as the cook here at Open Door. We are endlessly proud of him. Are people choosing to be homeless? Not Daryl!
